Diatribe Of A Mad Bassist

Hey guys, I’m back from dunno where.. decided to blog about my life so far since SOT ended.. As for the title.. I’m suddenly addicted to “Another One Bites The Dust” by Queen… Haha.. it has become my new tune to play during my sound check.. fun stuff today cos when i started playing suddenly the drums and the guitar played as well.. cool..

Anyway, since graduating from SOT, suddenly my life has become a bit less “happening”. No more last minute mission trips, no more waking up by 7 every morning to rush to Towner Road to take the bus to Jurong. No more playing for praise and worship every morning. No more giving announcement in “street” accent. No more giving lame examples to my team. In essence, yes I miss the days of SOT and I miss my team! Yes whoever from team 17 is reading this. I miss u guys. There. I’ve said it.

I’ve started school and it pretty much occupies most of my life now. But somehow the time table makes me feel quite lazy as I have super long weekends every week. No classes on Thurs and Fri and class at Mon only start at 7pm.. argh.. And to be perfectly honest, many of the lessons so far seems like it’s already what we’ve learnt in poly. Oh well. Oh.. I have a happening lecturer who comes late every week and loses something in the process. Like her thumb drive, her wallet. You get the picture.

As for life in Church, ministry has been great. Played for main service for 2 weekends and man, what an experience it was. God is really good cos my goal this year was just to play once.. and He doubled it. But I guess the experience of messing up on stage made me grow and learn a lot as a musician. Well.. hoping for more chances.

And yes.. I have a happening KTV-going CG!!! The fellowship is really great with a bunch of happening and outgoing people.. it’s really fun man. Shared my first offering message since dunno when last week. And God really gave me another one of my funny illustrations that I missed giving so much when I used to preach. I linked the offering message with the story of the 3 little pigs. Yes. 3 LITTLE PIGS. Ask me how. Haha..
