Expo!!!

Posted in Blog on September 14th, 2007 by Mervyn

Muahaha… Thank God for his grace.. Last week I finally got my chance to play for main service in Expo. To be honest it was highly stressful but again thank God that I managed to play well enough that KC is putting me up to play every week for the rest of the month. Guess will take this chance to really improve myself and rise up to a higher level of my ministry..

Took this shot from the online service video.. =)

Final Day in SOT and SOT Graduation..

Posted in Blog on September 3rd, 2007 by Mervyn

Well, it’s finally over! 4.5 months of SOT has finally come to a close. Really thank God for His grace through this entire period. Well last Friday marked the last day of school for all of us. And of course we were in the photo taking mood.. so with my lousy camera from my phone, I went around taking all these pics… WARNING: LOTS OF PHOTOS

I HAD to post this up first..The group of whacky guys from Team 17 during our graduation dinner at Marina South..

With Chikara

Siew Min from CHC KL

Mr. Kok Siang - DFO extrodinare..

This is Sendy Bolang, the SOT Diva from Indonesia.

Tze En from Taiwan, SOT Drummer who can preach, lead, play guitar, do sound..etc. POWERFUL MAN OF GOD HERE!

Ree Na from Malaysia/ New Zealand. She’s a doctor by the way.

Vita from Taiwan

With Wiltian and half of Sherlyn.. Haha..

David Ang

The bassists.. Wiltian, Samuel from India and me. Samuel is a real expert. Has been playing bass for 26 years. By now you would have thought I would have learnt my lesson of getting better pictures by asking someone to take for me.. But no.. and here’s proof…

Yes. Back to the “I shoot it myself because I just refuse to get someone else to do it” shots. This is Estelle. (Ok they are local unless stated)

Well, Sunday came and it was time for Graduation. Finally I have my mom and my bro in church with me. My aunt Lisa was there too.. here are the pics that my bro took..

With Mom..

With Aunt Lisa.. If you were wondering where my brother is.. he’s behind the lens..

With My dearest N333 after the graduation.

But well, what’s a photo montage without my “I shoot it myself because I just refuse to get someone else to do it” shots?

Alas after all the good quality and well taken pictures, I went back to my old self.. but think there were more shots that I got other people to take.. so here they are..

Alvin Low.. LIVERPOOL RULES!!

Miss Teng “soon-to-be-Mrs-Tan” Wai Leng…I’m holding those stuff for Estelle who was helping us take the photos..

Terence Tan.. another soon-to-be-married person..

Taka.. needless to say he’s from Japan..

Vita again..

Mr. Ang Wiltian…

Zia Hau.. Old friend from CHC KL.. you should have seen the back of his hair.. dreadlocks!

David Loke… he got 3rd best overall student..

Stacy from Malaysia/ Taiwan. She was in that hyper long journey mission trip to Sitiawan with me..

Terence.. Sound guy who has been screamed at by all of us.. haha..

Nick Chor..who still owes me my Devil Wears Prada DVD.. haha

MISS WANG!!! Ok.. that’s what I call her.. but you can call her Lynnette.. =)

A shadow of WYZ members from team 17 and Pastor Zhuang. (Ya lah! Lousy Camera la!)

My ex-member Shirley.

My ex-favourite ACS guy, Vernon..(the term favourite ACS guy is kind of a paradox to me)

Well, when it’s all said and done, I’m now a holder of an Advanced Certificate in Theology. Thank God for that!

Thanks for all those who were there supporting and cheering for me. Really appreciate it. Especially the leaders from WYZ.  I heard from Jieying that I was the first person they stood up and cheered for. Really touched. And kinda solved the mystery on why Pastor Kong said: “Wah, Fan Club ah!” to me when I went to shake his hand on stage. I was still kinda nervous and in a daze.. so my happening reply to him was: ” Thank you pastor.” And I walked off stage, wondering why did he say that to me…
