Diatribe Of A Mad Bassist

Well.. well.. well.. it’s been 5 long years serving as a CGL.. this week it will all come to an end.. for those of you not in the know, I’m just moving on to concentrate on music ministry.. But that’s another story.

Right now I’m tearing and feeling sad at the realisation that tomorrow will be my last CG meeting with my beloved W243. What can I say?

To each and everyone of you - You guys are a dream come true. I really thank God for all the times that I have with you guys and for being so understanding that I can’t be there with you all all the time. Thank you for being such supportive people, thank you for being my friends.

So many things to say, but really don’t know how to say it. I pray that each and everyone of you continue prospering, just as your soul prospers in where ever you are gonna be planted.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you and I really love all of you. We will meet again soon.

Haha.. God is good.. many good things are in store! Was just reminded of this song in the 90s.. ” Cos I’m movin on up.. moving on up.. moving on up.. nothing can stop me!”

Yeah.. that’s basically how I feel right now.. and it’s only January.. with 11 more months to go till the end of the year, I really believe God to move mightily in my life this year..

What am I so happy about? Haha.. you will know in about 2 weeks’ time.. I’m moving UP.. even though it’s for awhile.. but it’s still a nice feeling.. moving on UP~!

Well.. here’s an initial list of things I hope to achieve by the end of this year… pray that they will all come to pass..

1. Do well for SOT.

2. Improve on my bass

3. Get a new bass (Musicman or Lakland) (then again.. it’s my wish every 6mths or so..)

4. Get my driving license.. it’s been 3 long years in the making already.

5. Go for at least one mission trip.

6. Learn to forgive and forget certain people.

7. Play for Chinese Church conference or big day.

8. Lose weight.. yes.. stop laughing…

9. HOPEFULLY…. can play for Emerge or service at least once by the time I write this next year..

10. Find a girlfriend… but this one really no hurry..

As KC told Jessel and I :” It’s all about packaging/marketing”

This is gonna be a breakthrough year!

I’m stunned beyond words.

Just spoke to Alwyn, my member who’s studying in US right now. Told him I’ll be going SOT this year. And he just said, “My dad’s gonna give me 7k USD to spend. Might as well use it to bless someone.”

Yes.. he’s gonna sponsor my whole SOT course fees..

I’m still stunned… AHHHH

Haven’t been writing much since my last entry, well basically was away for a few days on my first cruise ever. Went to Penang and Phuket so yeah. Will post up the pics.. I think.

Anyway, yesterday we had our WYZ zone leaders’ appreciation dinner. It was a fun and crazy time. In fact, I think it’s the most fun appreciation I’ve been to since I became a leader.

We had a mini talentime called ‘60 Seconds of Fame’ where every subzone will be represented to put up an item in 60 seconds.

Kelvin Guo, Weiren and I did a “Cao Meng” impersonation.. well, more like an impersonation of Cao Meng impersonation. Funny like mad la, even we couldn’t stop laughing when we prac at my place on Sunday. But anyway, WE WON! 50 bucks Crystal Jade voucher! Haha.. we are going to spend it later.. anyway, here’s the video…
