Second String No More…

Played for a prayer meeting yesterday for the new English Service that’s gonna start in Jurong West next week. For the first time in a long time, I was actually nervous before the meeting started. I guess it’s cos I haven’t played for a few weeks already and this is my first time playing for prayer meeting since like..erm… SOT overnight Prayer Meeting? Ya, but by God’s grace, think we all played very well.

During the meeting, Pastor Zhuang prayed for the Musos and the Song Leaders from JW… somehow at that point really felt God’s presence upon us up on stage. And later when we broke up into groups and prayed for one another, the 4 of us were praying together when I felt God said: “Do not think that you are second string anymore.” Then it dawned upon me that this is indeed the time for the new batch to really rise up to the platform. The new musos, new song leaders. That we should not think that we are second string just because JW is a smaller service in size, but it’s just as important as the ones in Expo. It’s also sorta considered one of the main services. So instead of thinking small, we should start changing our mindset and rise up to the platform. (Am I making sense here or am I rambling already?) Anyway, felt yesterday was rather significant in the sense that the people who are going to play and those who are gonna song lead for the new services were together on stage for the first time. It really marks a new beginning… Eigene was telling me that she feel that this is really the next generation of musicians and song leaders… all the more we should guard our hearts and not let complacency creep in. And to be honest, it’s real easy to be complacent and have pride and attitude problem when you are on stage…it’s sorta the “always being in the limelight” thing….

Was talking to Miss JA about yesterday… well, just to tell you once again I really know what you are going through. But really I encourage you to pursue your dreams and callling for God. Don’t let what you feel get to you too much, you can do it one… let’s fight together!
